The Prudential Tower was designed by Charles Luckman and Associates, upon completion in 1964 the Prudential was the tallest building in the world outside of New York City, at 749 feet tall with 52 floors.
A classic example of brutalist architecture: The Prudential Tower seen behind the Fairfield and Boylston apartment buildings in the Prudential Center. Designed in the 1950s and built in the early/mid 1960s, these are three examples among the worst of Stalinist architecture ever visited upon Boston.
