The American flag waving at the top of the 21-story United Shoe Machinery Corporation Building at 160 Federal Street
. The building, considered one of the best examples of Art Deco architecture in Boston, was designed by architects George W. Fuller & Parker, Thomas & Rice and built in 1930. In the background is the 37-floor First National Bank of Boston Building, Boston’s ninth-tallest building, completed in 1971.
