«La Renommée de Boizot», the statue at the top of la fontaine du Palmier in place du Châtelet

The statue, entitled «La Renommée de Boizot» was commissioned by Napoléon Bonapart and designed by sculptor Louis-Simon Boizot in 1806; The sculpture of «Victoire» holding the laurels of victory at the top of the fountain today is a gilt copy, the original version, cast in ordinary metal, was moved to one of the courtyards of the Carnavalet Museum in 1898.
