The central pediment at the top of pavillon Sully, above eight cariatides sculpted by Francisque-Joseph Duret and Pierre-Charles Simart. The fronton features an array of sculptures entitled “Napoleon Bonapart dominating History and the Arts”, designed by Simart and Antoine-Louis Barye in 1857 under the direction of Hector-Martin Lefuel.
