A beheaded statue in a niche on quai de Bourbon, île Saint-Louis.

A headless statue in a niche on quai de Bourbon, with the former name of rue Le Regrattier. The statue is not that of a woman but of Saint-Nicolas, vandalized by a revolutionary named Coffinhal in 1793 well after the street was named rue de la Femme sans Teste, road of the woman without a head.

Photographs of île Saint-Louis.
